Around 20 pigeons have been killed in an allotment attack, in Wincobank, Sheffield. The allotment - next to a community garden project which was also vandalised - owned by Andrew Hartley, who has been racing pigeons for five years, was attacked only a week previously when five birds were found dead.

This is the latest attack on pigeons on allotments, and means that Mr Hartley cannot start the racing season later this month.
