It has been reported (thisIsLancashire.co.uk) that thousands of pounds worth of pigeons were stolen from cars at Blackpool this show of the year weekend.
The first car, a blue Vauxhall Astra, in the Central car park, was broken in between 19:45 Friday and 1pm Saturday. Thieves broke into the boot of the car and seven pigeons valued at £1,800 were taken.
A second incident took place on Sunday between 4 and 5pm in the Topping Street car park; where 30 pigeons worth £1,500 were stolen from a Peugeot 306.

It is also reported that a pigeon was taken from the auction pens, at an auction in Blackpool on Friday night.
