Minister for Agriculture Mary Coughlan confirmed that restrictions imposed in February of this year would be relaxed with immediate effect.

The new arrangement applies to gatherings for shows, exhibitions and markets.

Ms Coughlan also confirmed that pigeon racing between Britain and Ireland would be allowed under licence from May 17.
