Amtrak and Bird Flu...
Author: Amtrak Safety OfficeTitle: Amtrak and Bird Flu
Date: 2006-02-23 11:03:17Uploaded by: thefifer
Due to one or two problems with Amtrak collections/deliveries, they have issued the following press release to their depots.

Amtrak are in regular contact both with DEFRA minister Ben Bradshaw and the General Manager of the RPRA.

Currently, although it has been recognised that there is an increased risk of bird flu touching the shores of mainland UK, there is currently NO CHANGE TO ANY ACTIVITY RELATING TO PIGEONS.

AMTRAK WILL CONTINUE TO OPERATE THE HOMING EXPRESS SERVICE.

Amtrak will remain in contact with the above authorities and will advise of any changes - any change to the current situation is highly likely to be covered under national press also.
